How to execute 1 instruction in the program

• Executing the current instruction in the program
  • EGTAPI can execute the current instruction (at the PC) in the program by using the Step button:

    Clicking on the Step button will execute the current instruction in the assembler program The program execution will stop after the current instruction except: If the instruction is a bl (= branch and link) instruction that calls a library function (= a function that you did not write), the Step button will execute the entire function Use the Step Into button button if you want to see the step-wise execution of the instructions of a library function

    After the current instruction is executed, the values of the registers and variables will be updated with possible new values.

    Using this feature, you can see for yourself what is the effect of the current instruction.

    This feature is very helpful when you need to debug your assembler program.
