Visiting Scholar Opportunities: AI and Simulation (AIS) Lab

The AI and Simulation (AIS) Lab at Emory University welcomes applications from visiting scholars, visiting researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and PhD students interested in pursuing collaborative research in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Science, and Modeling & Simulation.

The AIS Lab conducts interdisciplinary research at the intersection of computational methods, data-driven discovery, and simulation-based decision support. We collaborate with researchers across academia, government, healthcare organizations, and industry to address complex challenges with societal impact.

Research Areas

  • Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning: Developing novel AI methods and applying intelligent systems to address real-world challenges.
  • Data Science & Analytics: Extracting insights from complex and large-scale data to support evidence-based decision making.
  • Modeling & Simulation: Designing computational models to understand, predict, and evaluate complex systems and processes.
  • Interdisciplinary Applications: Advancing research in areas such as healthcare, public health, transportation, urban systems, environmental sustainability, emergency preparedness, and national security.

Who Should Apply?

We seek scholars whose research interests align with the mission of the AIS Lab and who are eager to engage in collaborative, interdisciplinary research. Competitive applicants typically possess:
