General Description
Computational Science has rapidly evolved to become a mainstream paradigm in every walk of society – and is now embracing IoT and Smart Systems. The latter are emerging in numerous computational science environments e.g. industrial control systems, sensor networks, quantum computing simulators, and neural/learning approaches to traditional problems, and in all cases, involve computational issues of processing, data transfer, coordination, reliability, and performance. Methods and paradigms for addressing computation and data issues in such IoT and Smart Systems platforms will be crucial in the near future.
The proposed workshop on "Computational Science in IoT and Smart Systems" is aimed at addressing applications and tools suitable for such IoT and Smart Systems in computational science settings. This workshop focuses on understanding and discussing computing paradigms, data management solutions, reliability, efficiency, and performance issues in IoT and Smart Systems. The workshop will also include and discuss advances in Computational Science that may be achieved through IoT platforms connected to traditional supercomputers.

Submission Instructions:
Authors are invited to submit manuscripts reporting original, unpublished research and recent developments in Computational Sciences. All accepted papers will be included in the open-access Procedia Computer Science series and indexed by Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation (former ISI Proceedings) – an integrated index within Web of Science. The papers will contain linked references, XML versions and citable DOI numbers.
The manuscripts of up to 8 pages, written in English and formatted according to the EasyChair templates, should be submitted electronically via EasyChair. Templates are available for download in EasyChair horizontal menu "Templates".
Papers must be based on unpublished original work and must be submitted to ICCS only. Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper.
Deadlines for draft paper submission, notification of acceptance, camera-ready paper submission and registration may be found in the Important Dates section.
